Salon Azzurro started in April of 2006 by brothers, David and Joe Maccarone. It was their Italian immigrant parents who encouraged them to be in business together, doing what they love doing - HAIR. They started off as assistants in the Princeton area and soon developed clienteles of their own, going from shampoo boys (David at Peppi's Hair Design, Joe at La Jolie and later Vis' a Vis' in Princeton) to having an opportunity to buy Peppi's Hair Design from their father's best childhood friend (and next door neighbor) in Calabria, Italy - Joseph "Peppi" Panzitta. Azzurro, meaning blue in Italian, is a tribute to the Italian national soccer team they cheered for as children! Their parents helped both of them foster the dream to own their hair business together and to fulfill that dream. To them they say, "Thank You".

As owners it is not only our philosophy but also an ideology our staff warmly embraces.
